Have a question? We have answers. if you don’t see what you’re looking for here, head to the Contact tab to get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
How much is your deposit and when is full payment due?
We require a 20% non-refundable retainer to secure your date. The remaining balance is due four weeks before your wedding date.
How long will it take to get my video back?
Wedding films are typically delivered within 6–12 weeks after we receive your completed song selection form. Delivery may be sooner depending on our current editing schedule.
We’ll send the song selection form before your wedding so you can begin choosing music and get a better idea of how your final film will be structured.
Do you provide photography?
Cerulean Weddings specializes in wedding videography. Our standard packages do not include wedding photography, but we’re happy to work alongside the photographer of your choice.
Can I have the raw footage?
Yes. Raw footage is available as an add-on and is delivered on an external hard drive.
Raw footage consists of the original, unedited camera files and may include incomplete clips, camera movement, setup footage, and footage recorded in a flat color profile intended for professional color correction.
Raw footage is provided as-is and is separate from your professionally edited wedding films.
What kind of equipment do you use?
We use professional 4K cinema and mirrorless cameras, multiple camera angles, professional wireless microphones, and dedicated audio recorders.
Our equipment is selected to provide high-quality video and audio while allowing us to remain mobile and unobtrusive throughout the wedding day.
How long are you there?
Coverage depends on the package you select.
Silver focuses specifically on the Ceremony and Reception, with arrival prior to the ceremony for setup and establishing footage.
Gold and Platinum include Full Day Coverage, beginning with Getting Ready and continuing through the Reception. Rather than imposing a strict hourly limit, we work around your wedding timeline and stay through the important reception events and plenty of open dancing.
Once we have your final timeline, we’ll confirm a planned arrival time for your wedding.
What’s the difference between the Event Film and Full Day Story?
Both are longer, documentary-style wedding films designed to preserve the events and natural moments of the day.
The Event Film, included with Silver, focuses on the Ceremony and Reception and is approximately 30–60 minutes.
The Full Day Story, included with Gold, incorporates footage from throughout the entire wedding day, including Getting Ready, Photo Sessions, Ceremony, Reception events, and candid moments throughout the day.
Does the Silver Package include a Highlight Film?
No. Silver includes one 30–60 minute Event Film focused on the Ceremony and Reception.
A separate Highlight Film is included with Gold, along with Full Day Coverage. Highlight options can also be added or customized upon request.
Does the Silver Package include Getting Ready or Photo Session coverage?
No. Silver is specifically designed for couples who want Ceremony and Reception event coverage.
Getting Ready, Photo Sessions, and other earlier wedding-day coverage are included with our Full Day Coverage packages.
What is a Highlight Film?
Our Highlight Film is a short, cinematic edit featuring favorite moments from throughout the wedding day. It combines music, visuals, and select natural audio into a film designed to capture the overall feeling of the day.
A 2–4 minute Highlight Film is included with Gold, with extended 5–7 and 7–9 minute options available.
How do you use 2 cameras with only one videographer?
With years of experience, we’re comfortable operating multiple cameras solo. During live events such as the ceremony and toasts, one camera is typically positioned on a tripod while the primary camera is used for close-ups, reactions, and additional angles.
This allows us to provide multiple perspectives while remaining unobtrusive throughout the day.
Why would I need 2 videographers?
A second videographer allows us to capture more of the day simultaneously. During Getting Ready, for example, one videographer can be with each partner. Throughout the rest of the wedding, two videographers allow for additional candid moments, creative angles, and more flexibility during transitions and setups.
Two-videographer coverage is included with our Platinum Package.
Can you include footage that we give you?
Yes. We’re happy to incorporate additional footage when appropriate. Please make sure all original files are backed up before providing them to us. Cerulean Weddings is not responsible for lost or corrupted client-provided media.
How do Video Toasts work?
Video Toasts, also called Guest Messages, allow friends and family to leave personal messages for you on camera.
We set up a camera and microphone in a designated area where guests can record messages throughout an appropriate portion of the reception.
We do not typically record table-to-table messages during dinner, as this can be disruptive and often results in poor audio and video quality.
Do you offer drone footage?
Yes. Drone coverage is available as an add-on when permitted by the venue, location, weather, and applicable flight restrictions.
Because drone coverage requires the videographer to step away from other coverage temporarily, we recommend pairing it with a second videographer when possible.
Do you offer custom packages?
Yes. Packages can be customized with additional coverage and deliverables, including extended Highlight Films, Raw Footage, Video Toasts, Drone Coverage, and other options.
If you have something specific in mind, just ask.
Will you film in my location?
Absolutely. We’re based in Akron and regularly film weddings throughout Northeast Ohio, including Cleveland, Canton, Youngstown, Sandusky, and surrounding areas.
Travel within 100 miles is included. Locations beyond 100 miles may require an additional travel fee.
